These guidelines cover all aspects of common interaction and moderation on the Red Hat social media platforms, which includes comments on blogs, events, posts or articles.
The Red Hat's social media (this includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, the website, etc.) provides a growing number of opportunities to discuss the content of our programs. Our goal is to ensure that all of these platforms are inclusive and safe, and that Red Hat's social media is the place on the Internet to find lively and engaged discussions.
All actions and decisions made by our moderators are final and will not be subject to correspondence.
If you have suggestions or questions about participating in Red Hat social platforms, please send a message to: info[at]amerpodia.com
Opinions shared on Red Hat social platforms do not necessarily represent the opinions ofRed Hat, its staff nor other contributors.
We welcome debates and differences of opinion, but personal attacks (on authors or other users), persistent trolls, harassment or endless abuse will not be tolerated.
We recognize criticism of the programs and articles we create and publish, but we will not allow misinterpretation about (the work of) the creators, speakers or content taking place in the Red Hat or expressed on Red Hat social media. In the interest of carrying debate, we will distinguish between constructive arguments and smear campaigns.
We understand that people may have strong feelings about issues discussed on the site, or during the programs, but we will remove posts that are perceived as threatening and/or offensive. Please be mindful of others' values and be aware of your impact on others with posts you make.
We reserve the right to curtail conversations if they threaten to turn into mud-slinging due to bias or generalizations.
We do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or other forms of hate speech, or contributions that could be interpreted in such a way. We recognize the difference between commenting on a particular regime, organization, community or faith and attacking people based on their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
We remove all content that may put us in legal jeopardy, such as potentially defamatory or offensive posts, or material that may be copyright infringement.
We remove each message that is clearly commercial or spam in nature. This also applies to external links that are not substantively relevant to the discussions
Keep it relevant and clear. If you post something that is not relevant to the original topic ("off-topic") there is a possibility that the post will be deleted in order to keep the original discussion going.
We want the platforms to provide a welcoming space, and we expect participants to help us achieve that by pointing out potential problems and helping each other keep conversations inviting and appropriate. Should you encounter something problematic on the shared platforms, please help us by pointing it out.
